Can a 18 year old Oklahoman have a handgun in her home/ apartment, if it doesn't leave the premise?

This doesn't work from the big box stores. My local gun store doesn't give two craps, but you will spend 3 dollars more on the ammo than you would else where
For ammo that fits either, they are supposed to ask whether it is for a handgun. How dumb is the buyer?
My cousin was given a handgun at 18, and had to ask big sis to buy his .38 ammo for him for three years. (been that way since the 1968 GCA; must be 21 to buy any handgun/ammo from an FFL)
