Can you tell me a little more about the Lexington Range, does it have a 100 yard for rifle? I hope...

Yes it has multiple 100 yard spots and you do need a valid Oklahoma hunting license to shoot there.
Concrete shooting benches that do not wiggle and they have built in adjustable seats for your bottom to sit on.
Covered also.

Heard the NRA donated $10,000 to fix it up and the state prisoners built the seats and gun racks. It's really nice compared to what it once was.

I retired from the engineering firm that did the design and oversaw construction of the range. I don’t know if the NRA donated any money. But, I do know the majority of the money came from the US Fish and Wildlife Service through a grant. The grant money is available from excise taxes on firearms and ammunition authorized by the Pittman-Robertson Act.

I recently learned about Canadian Ranges closing and refuse to join the local clubs.. looks like I'm going to get a hunting license just so I can use the WMA range (I don't even want to hunt). Nice to know that it's a good spot. Taking the hunting safety course online now..

Out of curiosity, why do you refuse to join a local club?

You don’t need the HSC to purchase a license.
