If a handgun is legally possessed by a 18-20 year old and is caught carrying it loaded, what would the worst case scenario be? Would it just be improper transportation or something else? Is it a jailable offense or just a 70$ ticket? In the state of Oklahoma.

I am not a lawyer, but I did find this online.

If memory servers correctly, part of the deal when the SDA act was passed and carrying with a permit was allowed was that the "wink, wink" attitude toward carrying illegally went away, and actual penalties would be enforced.

"In Oklahoma, a first conviction for unlawfully carrying a gun is a misdemeanor with a fine of at least $100 (and up to $250), up to 30 days in jail, or both. Second and subsequent violations incur a fine of at least $250 (and up to $500), at least 30 days (and up to three months) in jail, or both. Additionally, if the defendant has a concealed handgun permit, the permit will be revoked for six months. (Okla. Stat. Ann. tit. 21, § 1276.)"
