We’ve got snakes everywhere. Usually my 9 I fine, but holy crap ran into a gang of 6 or so snakes. I got one, but those things are hard hit moving through brush.

I’d take a coach, over under, pump or cheap semi. It’s gonna spend its life in my shed or on my tractor so I don’t need anything fancy.

12 is best.

What type snakes? Not all deserve to be killed, in fact very few in Oklahoma .
You may be creating yourself a much bigger problem.

As mentioned, a pawn shop could be your best bet. If you don’t want to spend the time searching for the right gun, Budsgunshop.com has some “coach guns” for under $500. A short S/S or O/U shotgun in 12ga would be excellent for dispatching anything that crawls, slithers or walks. They also have some single shot shotguns for under $150. Grabagun has a RIA single shot 12ga for $129.99.

Another option besides the 12ga is the Chiappa 22/410 O/U ($454.49). Folds up which is a nice storage feature. Would work well on snakes.
