More on Obamacare.
The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) pointed out that there are no redeeming provisions of Obama's health care plan. AAPS observes that Obama's health care plan will significantly increase the overall cost of health care for a majority of United States citizens, plus reduce the quality of care that a free market system would otherwise provide.

#1 According to the U.S. Supreme Court, the federal government has the power to force you to buy private goods and services. Now that this door has been opened, what else will we be forced to buy in the future?

#2 Obamacare is another step away from individual liberty and another step toward a “nanny state” where the government dominates our lives from the cradle to the grave.

#3 The IRS is now going to be given the task of hunting down and penalizing millions of Americans that do not have any health insurance. In fact, the Obama administration has given the IRS 500 million extra dollars “outside the normal appropriations process” to help them enforce the provisions of Obamacare that they are in charge of overseeing.

#4 Obamacare imposes more than 20 new taxes on the American people. You can find a comprehensive list of Obamacare taxes right here. If you love paying higher taxes, then you are going to absolutely love Obamacare once it is fully implemented.

#5 In an attempt to “control costs” and “promote efficiency”, Obamacare limits the treatment options that doctors and patients can consider. This is likely to result in a decrease in life expectancy in the United States.

#6 Obamacare is going to impose nightmarish paperwork burdens on doctors, hospitals and the rest of the healthcare system. This is going to significantly increase our healthcare costs as a nation.

#7 Obamacare is going to send health insurance premiums soaring. This is especially true for younger Americans.

#8 Many small businesses are going to be absolutely crushed by the provisions in Obamacare that require them to provide expensive health insurance coverage for their employees. This is going to make them even less competitive with companies in other countries where businesses are not required to provide healthcare for their workers. This is also going to make it even less attractive for businesses to hire new employees.

#9 Obamacare is going to make the emerging doctor shortage in America a lot worse. Surveys have found that we could potentially see hundreds of thousands of doctors leave the medical profession because of Obamacare.

#10 Obamacare has already forced the cancellation of dozens of doctor-owned hospitals.

#11 Obamacare is going to result in a much bigger federal government. In order to fully implement all of the provisions of Obamacare, hordes of new government bureaucrats will be required.

The title of the thread is misleading - the Cheapest OBAMACARE plan will cost 20K for family of 3 adults and 2 dependands with income over $120,000.

I am not saying Obamacare will fix anything, but if you think the system is not broken - you have never EVER paid a doctor's bill in your whole life.

Back before insurance used to cover absolutely everything and there were different rates and different paperwork for every insurance company and government insurance, you could go see the doctor relatively cheap. But insurance has gone insane and people think they need it to cover absolutely everything health related. If our car insurance was like our health insurance it would cover oil changes, tires, tuneups, the insurance payments would be higher than the car payments and an oil filter would cost $100.

I'm still waiting to hear from all those OSA members that did so much talking about how bad Romney was and that O-ho was doing OK. Sadly, all I keep hearing are crickets since so many truths about Democratic Party actions have come to light truthfully in the media.

However, if I remember right, the Obamacare does limit the problems for business with less than 50 employees. So, it might be that some of the truly small businesses won't be hurt quite so bad.

You honestly think Romney's plan (he already talked about introducing his government healthcare initiative at a national level) would have been better?

How would Romney have done on gun control (oh wait, he endorsed and signed an AWB in his home state and then ran a failed congressional campaign on a gun-control platform)?

Those of us who bitched about Romney said he was the same person as Obama - neither deserved to be president. The Republican party deserved better, but so did the Democrat party.

Obama Care is a joke. I still cannot believe so many people support this. It is going to ruin many small businesses. There are many businesses right now that only a around 20 employees and when they are forced to carry insurance on them they will have to lay people off just to keep on making their profit. I don't care what Obama says, his "care" will not make things better. How is forcing Americans that can't afford to buy insurance pay a "tax" at the end of the year constitutional? I still can't believe that the so called conservative Roberts voted for it. And speaking about Obama, I get way more taken out of my check every week now. Man, he is such a great guy. What a loser. He doesn't care who he screws.

I'm not defending government mandated insurance requirements but.... The law only applies to a business with 50 or more employees not 20. For those business with 50 or more it will be more than likely cheaper to not provide insurance as the penalty will be $2000 annually. With the way premiums are calculated now, employers spend far more than $2000 annually to cover employees as a benefit.

As for it not being a tax, I agree that forcing someone to pay for a private product should be unconstitutional. But so should receiving more money than you paid in taxes every year. I pay twice the tax bill as my neighbor and we have similar wages. The kicker being I have no children and he has three.
