who says his views aren't offensive? Lots of people take offense to views like that. You may not, which is fine, but others do.

By the way, no one is infringing on the CFA president's freedom of speech. No one is saying he isn't allowed to say what he said. He said what he said and others have chosen to boycott the company he owns. (Less the dumbass mayors who want to keep his restaurants out, which i have an issue with).

Here's a question - do you know what he said / what his view was?

This entire debacle could be prevented if people didn't take what little mis-information they got and run with it instead of verifying what he-said / she-said before propagating stupidity.

Also, this whole "you're with us or against us" attitude where no one can discuss things is getting absolutely stupid. The Left and Right are both acting like jackasses (and in actuality, are the same exact type of people).

That's exactly why I won't eat there. Don't care what god you wanna believe in, leave it at home...... every Sunday is a bit much.

Wait a minute - you and I can certainly disagree on issues but you have zero right to decree from where my beliefs and/or political convictions emanate. Should equal rights for blacks have been denied a public forum because many of its proponents were ministers and priests? If I think that poverty is my Christian duty to eliminate and you are an atheist who thinks poverty needs to be eliminated in order to prevent a violent uprising - all we have to agree upon is some way to attack poverty in the public arena - we don't have to have the same sources for our belief.

It is a fundamnetal error, and an historical fallacy, to believe that the Constitution bars religiously inspired people from acting in the public arena on their beliefs. Likewise, I have no right to say you are barred from acting in the public arean on ideas based upon specious reasoning or simply rectally extracted from you. All you have to do is get agreement from your fellow citizens, subject to constitutional limitations, and press on.

Nope not gonna do it.

I support the first amendment but I refuse to support a business that actively speaks out against GLBT individuals.

Chik-Fil-A the official food stop of Westboro Baptist.

your statement is idiotic. they were not "actively speaking out" they were asked their stance and they spoke their mind, they didn't make a commercial that said "HEY GAYS DONT EAT HERE"

I like chick-fil-a because they are having a fundraiser for a friend of mines sons little girl that has been in st francis for the last month. Raising money to help with the medical bills.

A fundraiser is set up for Adalyn Statum August 30 5-8 pm At Chik-fil-a in tulsa hills shopping center. When you make your purchace during the scheduled time period give the reciept to the cashier and say its for Adlyn Statum and part of the proceeds will be contributed to her medical bills. Thank you for your support.

Relax argyle, listening to people's excuses here on OSA for boycotting chick-fil-a is like listening to a liberal's reason for more gun control. Heck I have seen chick-fil-a like this on regular days and I'm happy for them.

Yup. No one stopped this guy from expressing his views. No one trampled his right to speak. All i've seen are people telling him he is wrong and choosing to take their business elsewhere.

Both sides want to claim the mantle of tolerance, both sides are hypocrites

Protesting and trying to disrupt someone's business is not just "taking their business elsewhere".
