Check out the Folds of Honor Foundation fellas. Founded right here in our back yard by Dan Rooney who is an Oklahoma resident, his headquarters is in Owasso and he is as good as gold! Last I heard was that .92-94 of every dollar went directly to a scholarship.

To be quite honest, if I were collecting donations for a worthy cause I wouldn't care if the money came from Satan himself.

I'll check them out ...

That's BS ... I don't think I'll be wearing my Wounded Warrior t-shirt any longer.

AND that's exactly why when I have donated the last couple of years my money has gone to OKCShooter. 100% of the proceeds he gathers goes to the people who need it. PERIOD. Guys, if you wanna do some good, find a small, quiet LOCAL charity that is actually putting your money where you want it to go -- not making a bunch of fairly well-to-do folks even more well-to-do ...

Remember the newstory on established charities, like the Jesus House and the United Way, last year (or maybe year before last) and the insane salaries the administrators working at those charities drew? It's nuts ... (that's the nicest thing I can think of to say about those administrators).

I have heard nothing but criticism regarding their organization for the past several months. They are VERY wasteful with their money, as someone else pointed out their administrative costs are nothing short of shameful. Even the half of donated money that they do spend on the charity is misallocated, they overspend as though they are trying to impress people with the amount of money that they spend on projects, which is ridiculous. No one should care what structures looks like, it's about the staff and equipment inside the structure that are actually helping our service members. It's about "quality" of care they can provide, not how glamorous their facilities are. State of the art medical equipment functions just as well in big boring brick & mortar cubes as well as it does some overpaid "architects vision". Combine their poor management of assets with their negative outlook regarding the 2nd amendment and the shooting industry... I have no use for them. As stated before there are no shortages of charities that do a better job of taking care of our troops - heck, I'd mail a check to the VA hospital before I'd send the WWP money. I bought one of their Under Armor hats at a Academy a year ago and it still gripes my butt because I don't want to wear it now. I could've sent that $20 to the USO or something.

No money accepted from religious organizations

No money or any other support from me.

There are other organizations that support our wounded vets.

Really, yet I see them all of the time getting free hunts on the Outdoor Channel. I guess no more from me either then
