Concealed Carry Application and Email Addresses

There's a spot on the application to list your email address. Has anyone ever been contacted by email about their application? I've been wondering for awhile if it's actually used for anything.

For what it's worth, I put mine down to see what happens. So far, nothing.

To my best knowledge, no one has ever been contacted through email. It is simply just another point of contact for the OSBI to keep in their records...

I have been in contact with the OSBI SDA folks a couple of times via email since I submitted my application. They never initiated the emailing but they do answer emails every morning. Not sure if that has anything to do with the question on the app though.
