Martial law has been declared and police and military are going house to house looking for food, water and supplies to confiscate. Your supplies are well hidden and would not be found through normal questioning and searching procedures. However, the official coming to your house is a relative and knows what you have. He informs you that it is his duty to take your supplies or arrest you and your family.
How would you address this situation?

tell him you will cut him and his family in on what you have. Then begin moving out supplies to cashes in the darkness of night.

Give up supplies willingly and avoid arrest. Then bugout, evacuate or evade. Preserve your family and live to fight another day.

your mistake for letting your "relative" know what you have. There is alot of info missing here. Is this a close relative? If so and your sharing everything with the world anyway, call the rest of the family and shame them into submission. If not is he alone? Take other measures.

If he's giving me advance notice, I take it as a "heads up" and move my supplies to a new location known only to me.

Cache relocation, perhaps family relocation.

Either way, this 'family member' is no longer a member of *my* family. he/she can rot.

The way I took it was that the family member was already at your door and he knew you had stuff and it was do it now or go to jail.
