This kind of thing didnt happen when I was a kid as far as I know....did it? I grew up in the 70s and 80s and dont recall ever hearing about such a thing? What has changed? And there were just as many gun owners then too I believe.
I'm flabbergasted. I've typed out about 8 responses to this and kept deleting them to try to say something else.

I'm the same way. I've already lost two different facebook friends and it's clear I'm going to have to stay away from FB for a while as I'm doing my best to post reasonable responses to the anti-gun / anti-assault-rifle comments, but peoples' emotions are making them say absolutely stupid stuff right now.

Unfortunately it was happening before we were born. Google Bath, Michigan school bombing and hang on. A little historical horror to go with today's horror.
I don't know how to deal with today.
I have struggled to work all day. I have a 6 year old daughter who goes to school everyday without a care in the world and can't imagine the pain that the families are feeling right now. Been a door closed, don't bother me kind of day...
