Pecan Pie anyone? I allow myself one sweet treat per week and this week it is Pecan Pie. It’s only 6” which gives me and the Mrs what is essentially a slice of pie each. Now are you guys a with or without whipped cream??
Without. Scoop of vanilla bean ice cream when pie is warm! Looks great!

Hadn’t baked any bread in a while so I cranked out three loaves of French. Well……I actually made 4 loaves but one didn’t last long enough to make it in the picture.
Yum! All ya need now it some smoked brisket inside those and some dipping sauce.
I could make do with just a little added butter!!

Made a batch of applesauce, my great-grandmother’s recipe. The wife says it’s more like apple pie filling which I can’t argue with but either way, It’s some good stuff. I puréed a little for her using my immersion blender so she can have some the way she likes it. Me? I’ll take my chunky style every time…….I’m not into eating baby food.
