Why I ride a Harley. The barely go fast enough to kill ya... 😝

In my opinion, it isn't the cops chasing people who run from a traffic stop that are the problem. It's the fact there aren't REALLY serious legal consequences if they get caught. I have absolutely zero sympathy for douchebags like this guy. I'd like to see more of them wrap themselves around a big ass tree somewhere. People that do that put untold numbers of innocents in danger for nothing but selfish reasons. F##k 'em...

Fastest I ever went in a pursuit was 139 in an LT1 Caprice. It felt like it was floating. Kid driving daddy's Vette. Fast on the straights, S-L-O-W on the turns. He ditched the car in a park in Arvada, CO and ran on foot. Unfortunately it was dark and he didn't see the concrete drainage ditch. Broke a leg and some ribs for his stupidity. He sure looked...and sounded...like he was in pain lying there for the 15 mins it took rescue to get to the scene.

I never hit an interstate. To me that is stupid. In town and out in the country side. Get far enough ahead and tuck in somewhere and let ‘em fly on by! Kawasaki gave me a KZ900 then a 1000. Straight line, nothing would touch them, they were not to good on cornering without working on the suspension and re raking the front end, but quick they were out of the box. Re sprocket them and they would go over 150 easy, but they compare nothing to todays modern bikes.

In 1972 I had a Honda 4 cyl. 500 and everyone called those Kawasaki 500s Motorized Slingshots. The K-750? Well back then WTF didn't exist but you can use your imagination.
Back then I had about 20k miles on a Kaw500 and got a call to take a demo ride on the 2nd Kaw750 H2 sold in Tulsa. (Shop owner bought the first) They knew they had a sure sale before I got there. I rode it around a 4 mile square and wrote a check. Then 3.5 miles home, pulled the jugs and spent a couple hours with a grinder using a "special performance" sheet the Kaw service guy who was a friend of mine slipped me with the bike and bolted on a set of Worges street expansion chambers. To say it was just a step up from the Kaw500 would be a gross understatement. Good thing I had been riding a Husqvarna 400 dirt bike a lot and could float the front tire 3-6 inches through first 3 gears. Full throttle did not happen till the top of 3rd gear when things started setteling down. Yep, those were good old fun days. The Kaw750 also had the nickname "Widomaker". Lots of people spit themselves off of them. I had an opportunity to ride one a few years back that had a 3" extended swing arm. Wow what a difference, even this old man could handle that. Well, only after you remember all the way down on the shifter is neutral, not between first and second. Haha Yep sorry got a little sidetracked here to the OP, but thanks for the memories.

Would I think about running from a LEO in anything today? No, not planning on having a death wish anytime in the future. Ha

Are there no serious legal consequences, or are they just not seen by the idjits who think that running from the cops is a good plan?

I’m thinking the dude in this video is going to wish that he’d just stopped after the doctors, the Arkansas legal system, and the attorneys for the driver he hit are done with him.

Eluding is a felony in most states depending on what you do. What this guy did is definitely a felony. But the punishment isn't severe enough to deter those that choose to do this sort of thing. Losing their license doesn't work either because they'll drive/ride anyway. Almost everyone who ever ran from me had done it before. And that was 20+ years ago before all the progressive evil permeated the "justice" system. The others were trying to get away because they'd committed some other serious crime.

Do you have a link to the incident you described?
I do not have news report.
I remember that the squid's feet were drag ground off and helmet face planted into the rear door of the trailer and the cops stopped the truck in west Tulsa, Sw bound on I44 near toll road start. I think it was maybe as far back as early 2003.
I was living in KC then and my mom made sure I saw it. In KC there was a young gang banger turned his Suzuki into a cruise missle and took out a minivan full of people with multiple fatalities around the same time.
I caught alot of flack from family because I had just bought my new 02 Buell X1W that looked fast sitting still.
