Record corn crop Nationwide driving prices down thankfully, however, Oklahoma proper corn crop is mostly in poor condtion (according to NW Ok extension agent). Some sprouting in the ear occuring in Grant, Kay, etc. counties.
Really sad looking corn in my neck of the prairie.
What didn't die from drought, the grasshoppers ate.

I just drove through Illinois/Indiana/Ohio/Pennsylvania/W. NY. Perfect corn crops everywhere, I've never seen it look so good. Last year on the same drive I saw hardly any worth harvesting.
$8.99 a clean 50 lb. bag at Ross's in El Reno today.
I am not understanding this isn't corn $4.50/bushel and isn't a bushel 49 pounds that means it costing $4.50 to bag it I can see charging a couple dollars for bagging it.I have been buying mind by the bag but I am fixing to buy it bulk
bushel of corn shelled weighs 56 pounds. Corn still on the cob, a bushel will weigh 70 pounds.
Understand too that bagged deer corn is usually cleaned and also cracked I believe before bagging. You can also buy bagged whole corn which is just cleaned.
I just buy corn by the ton at the coop. Paid $180/ton, and two ton should last us from August 1 to Jan 31... Heavy feed twice daily
