Side Question:. Does the carnivore diet affect heart disease / ie raise triglycerides ?
Same Question for the Keto, high fat diet ??
I understand reducing carbs will lower blood glucose-sugar, Makes sense, but what about if one has concurrent cardiac artery blockages and on ( controversial) statins ?
I can only address as it pertains to myself --
In my case it did not , as transitioning from a more "balanced" approach to keto and finally close to full carnivore also came with it a significant reduction in the amount i physically ate overall.
--- a trip to Cattleman's or texas Roadhouse usually entailed whatever steak i ordered - which is always either an 8oz fillet or 12oz ribeye depending on how hungry, - potato, side salad and whatever bread/rolls etc - or in the case of TX Roadhouse, - i would get a cup of chili --- and as a sidenote: Bless that place for introducing the concept that it is okay to have a cup of chili as a side dish for a steak !
--- But then it devolved into just the steak and some broccoli, and oftentimes if it was a bigger steak i would take part of it home
This guy is the first person that comes to mind that has a physicians aproach to the carnivore diet
