My wife just purchased a complete Volquartsen trigger group for this Ruger 10/22 for me and once I receive it, I'll retest everything and let you guys know how it performs...

At the same time though, I will be replacing the scope with a Burris 8X-32X Signature Series rifle scope with fine plex cross hairs. I'm hoping this will all prove worthwhile....

I guess cause I never ask for much and she saw how dissapointed I was in the trigger pull and accuracy....

With the barrel and receiver being screwed together as well as the pillar and glass bedding, there does not seem to be any problem nor do I expect any problems....

Okay guys, I got in my Volquartsen trigger and it was definantly a most worthwhile investment. The trigger moves .060 with no creep and breaks-like-glass at 21 ounces. I adjusted the overtravel screw to where the trigger comes to a complete stop .010 after the trigger breaks. Needless to say, I'm more than happy with it...

I also got the Burris 8X-32X fine plex cross hair scope mounted and set as well. Here is the new look - just for testing purposes...

We had 5-10 mph cross winds all day and as such, I picked one ammo and fired 3 10-shot groups / one at 50 yds., one at 100 yds. and one at 150 yds.. Here are the results...

This definantly won't win any matches but, for a squirrel buster, I think it will do just fine....

As a side note though, this is where my real interest is, in high accuracy long range rifles....

This rifle averages 3/4" or less at 300 yds. for 5-shot groups....
