I'm using it as a euphemism for idiocy, he didn't actually officially win the award. If I happened to spell anything wrong I apologize for that too.
"Darwin Award" was already a euphemism for idiocy. There isn't actually an official award to win, what you did was use it in a way that it isn't normally used so people open your post expecting one thing, and it wasn't that. I don't actually care that you did that, but I knew others would point it out, they always do, so I just wanted to be first.

And NOW I have to go back and check your spelling.... :rollingla

LOL, I don't take anything here seriously. My co-worker always called me "Betty Crocker". He said I enjoy stirring things up.

I call BS on this story. I wipe all my computers before disposing. If he was smart enough to mine the coin to begin with, I doubt he'd be stupid enough to throw out a working computer/hard drive.
I don't doubt your story and think you're on to something, but this isn't the first case of something like that happening.
That makes me wonder if the bitcoin suits for lost money are because it's virtual money? How can one sue on what one says is on a hard drive that may or may not exist for what money that may or may not exist?
How can one prove the hard drive actually exists? There is no chain of custody.
