Is that anything like DC have extremely strict gun laws and one of the highest crime rates in the country

Yup. Chicago too.

DC used to be known as the murder capital of America. Don't know how high it ranks now, but I'll wager it's still up there pretty high.

" we have yet to hear a gun-rights advocate articulate why any law-abiding citizen has a compelling need to buy more than one gun a month. Criminals sometimes need to get their hands on a lot of guns at once to pull off a big job or to keep gangs well-armed; citizens who want to protect their homes from intruders have no such imperative."

Hi L.A. Times. Its because guns are not just for hunting and self defense. some of us enjoy collecting them, and shooting them FOR FUN! and for competitions. Who the hell are you to tell us we should not be allowed, or question us as if we are the bad guys for spending out hard earned cash on what ever and how ever the hell many toys we want to have in a month?!?!

just another anti gun article full of dribble. the only article a paper like that is going to spin to sound positive is one that takes away gun rights.

Wow! A one-gun-a-month law will stop criminals from aquiring enough guns for a "big job"? This knucklehead probably also believes that a "NO GUNS" sign in front of a school or business will instantly stop a would-be attacker. Perhaps he could put a "NO FAILING" sign in school classrooms. We could even put up a "NO DEFICITS" sign in the Congress! The possibilities are endless. Maybe the LA Times can put a "NO STUPIDITY" sign in their editorial office.

I never realized guns were "deadly firearms", I thought they were just firearms. Thank you, LA Times for setting me straight. Fear! Fear! Fear!

Haha, they would but(being LA) a "no stupidity" sign might offend stupid people and then they would be sued.

And we have yet to hear a gun-rights advocate articulate why any law-abiding citizen has a compelling need to buy more than one gun a month.

And I have yet to hear why you need more than one opposable thumb - chop 'em off so you can't wield a gun, a rock, a stick, or strangle for that matter.

Anti-gun = anti-thumb LOLz
