Logically, you should only find the largest seizures at border checkpoints, because those are the only places large smuggling vehicles can cross the border--a semi can't just roll anywhere, it needs solid(-ish) roads. That doesn't mean that the drugs smuggled by other means (smaller vehicles, drones, humans, etc) don't add up to more than what's moving through the checkpoints.opioids could certainly be considered an emergency (and one near to me), but don't pretend that they majority of the drugs are being smuggled across the border because of a lack of a fence. IIRC some of the largest seizures have been at border checkpoints in recent years.
