Maybe they were just bored too?
OF, I was there, and there weren't many of these guys' ancestors in the so called hippie culture. The few minorities I knew who were involved are now successful/retired upper middle class except for one rich SOB.
It's still fashionable to blame the hippies for everything, but I don't think this one is theirs.
The grandparents, and like great grandparents of these idiots were likely welfare recipients. Not many hippies from that crowd.
Just basing it on what I've seen over the last 20 or so years CB.
The disease spread like wildfire over into other groups.
My first year I had students whose parents were my age to a decade older.
Some of them flat missed out on the whole being raised thing.
Since then they've sired offspring who are even less raised.
My remark is not all inclusive, but I've seen it get worse and worse.
Add to that there are very few stay at home mothers and there's even less raising.
I also think the working mother aspect was caused by those that figured out hippie life wasn't going to cut it and had to play catch up to keep up with the Jones.
Mostly just some idle ramblings on my part.
But until I see something to change my mind.....
