Not Bush's fault, but somehow Hippies fault?

(this is from this same thread man)

But if someone brings up the civil-rights violations (which occurred at the exact same time as those first-gen hippies) that essentially made someone less than a human being in a large number of states (based only on their color), that's stupid?

Just remarking he left "Bush's fault" off the list, not replacing anything.
And the hippie remark was just my theory.
I'll be more than happy to expound on it more if you'd like to hear more of my ramblings on the subject.

" He should have stayed in the car..."
" It's acceptable because millions of blacks were lynched..."
" How do we know that the old man didn't attack them?"
" Ya'll are going to get this site labeled as a "hate site" by posting facts..."
" Zimmerman's fault..."

*Insert your own liberal BS, excuses and outright lies here.

You're so wrong. It's the parent's fault. They never should have let those toddlers out of their sight.

Nah, I'm more baffled than anything else. I respect your opinion on a lot of things, so I'm having a hard time with the whole not catching the irony of contradictory thought-processes (in the same thread even).

I believe several of these causes - the Hippies (well, really ideologically Liberal 1960-70s cultural leaders) did cause a problem, in particular they left an indelible mark on the education system and not for the better.

Parents are responsible, responsible to do their best to fight a school system that actively destroys the moral and ethical foundations of a great nation.

I homeschooled or parochial schooled our five children for as much as possible once we really began to see what was being taught in schools - and it isn't just the "Three Rs" (which is done reasonably well).

EZ Bake - I'm glad that the 60's brought about the end of legal racial segregation. If that was the sum-total of the 60's legacy we would both be in total agreement. However, the cultural changes unleashed in parallel to (not caused by) the civil rights movement have had far longer term, wider ranging, and more debilitating effects than anyone would have dared fear.
