Police got them, same kids that were breaking into cars. And my wife said this CCTV was pointless, not to mention we caught an ex Boyfriend of the neighbors daughter TP'ing there house

We've already been hit by the ding dong ditchers this year, our third year in a row. I know who's doing it, as I've talked to the kid at the pool during the summer time. He even asked me about it and admitted to doing it. However, this year I woke up the next day to my mailbox being open and the lawn sprayer's sign in my front yard thrown in the road.
I don't mind kids being kids and ding dong ditching. I did it as a kid, though we referred to it as something else, but when you start messing with people's property I begin to start being less accepting of harmless pranks.

I think it's sad we now live in a world where my future offspring can't ding/dong/ditch without fear of being arrested, or catching double 12 gauge through the door

on a serious note, I get where you are coming from. destroying someone else's property is just bad sportsmanship when it comes to that thing that shall not be named.
