Yeah, we had just closed on a house in February. Bought her a 2012 ford escape in march. She told me she wanted a divorce in may... We bought all this stuff when were dual full time income. She's taking her car, but doesn't want anything to do with the house. Unless I sell it than she wants money from it. We've only had it for 6 months so I'm pretty sure if I sold it now we would be out money with all the realtor fees... That's one of the reasons I was fine with her pushing it back until October. I was expecting a raise in September that would allow me to keep the house on my own income. I drive an 98 chevy pickup that I own outright so no payments there luckily.

Only think shes entitled to is half of any equity it may bring. Even if you dont sell it she could get it appraised and you would have to pay half the equity it may have. If it has none, you owe her nothing. At least thats the way my atty explained it to me.
