I like the idea of having an "even" number of mags, but I also like the idea of having an "even" number of loose mags and one in the pistol. So if shooting 22lr pistols, if you had 5 mags, then you would be covered to go through a box at the range.
I realize some of you may have more, but didn't put 6,7,8 because although it is not a bad idea to have extras for a main gun, it isn't affordable or practical for others.
I think I lean toward trying to have at least 4 for each, but I go back & fourth between 3,4 or 5 and wanted to know either the "best approach (and why)", or if no best approach, what YOUR personal opinion is for you (and why).
