I keep my lead levels checked and it hasn't been an issue for me. I have two Dillon 550's on either side of my keyboard & monitor in the office.

The adult body absorbs lead differently than a childs.
Yes it is still dangerous, but not quite as big a deal.

I used to have everything indoors till my first child, after that I moved in the garage. My little kiddies are not that little anymore, they don't live with me except during visits and school holidays.
Time for me to move indoors again.

You sound that you load and shoot a bit. I used to load and shoot a lot more than now, especially when I shot skeet.
A few years ago I had the lead checked and had no problem.
Sometimes I get the suspicion that they are trying to scare us for no reason.

Make no mistake it is bad business for kids. But if you're like me kids haven't been a problem in a while.
For the most part if you are fairly careful while reloading and you wash up good afterwards there's not much to worry about.
