Thanks guys. I married a city girl, so any time I can get her to go with me is enjoyable. Shoulda seen her try to hold the dove she killed. ha ha

Lol, the first dove my wife shot was coming 60mph straight at us at about 10' off the ground. She pulled the trigger, it wadded up and landed not 3' in front of us. It lay there motionless, with a single drop of blood in it's right eye, and it kept blinking, trying to rid itself of the drop.............was 4 or 5 years before she went again.

Ha ha ha. I told her she had to hold it if she shot it. I'm gonna cook them up this weekend and get her to eat one with some jalapeno and pepperjack cheese.....to complete the circle.

I was lucky enough to get an invite to bring my family and hunt over a pond. As it was one of the free hunting days, I twisted my wife's arm to go. We got two birds with her shooting one of them and missed even more. One of my favorite dove hunts ever. My daughter was asking to go again this morning.

Not a limit but not bad last night for getting out there late. No large groups still, their were larger groups before season started. Maybe this weekend they will show up more northerners
