Lots of birds still around, random flights and behaviors though. Sit on a field north of where we've been doing well, tons of birds but almost all of them flew out about 6:30pm, and then not 15 minutes latter, they slowly started coming back from the the same direction they left. I was sitting on the wrong side of the field from what it looked like. Still managed a few.

This season is really turning out to be a GREAT one for everybody! There's some mighty tasty lookin' birds in this thread. Fast and furious is the way to describe all of our hunts so far. We're going out again this evening (assuming the weather holds) with the full and reasonable expectation of limiting out.

Used to be that when cool and wet showed up the birds just melted or something. I was out once on opening day and had this happen. It was awesome until the front hit and it was like someone flicked a switch, no birds to be seen when 10 minutes prior they were everywhere and you couldn't keep shells in your gun. Rest of that season was basically finished.

I don't think this front was strong enough to bring the season to a crashing close like that. The cooler weather is nice for us, but the abundant food sources should hold birds pretty well for another week or so. Temps are going to rebound into 70's this week, so as long as the winds stay down, I bet the keep flying. I could be wrong, but that's how it normally works for us.

Incredible flight this evening. I managed a limit plus a bonus jumbo. Daughter slayed 9, she shot her first round of sporting clays on Saturday, that helped a ton this evening.. the retrievers did well too!
