Follow up question. If by pulling wire thru tight fitting PVC conduit what is a lubricant to use to minimize damage to the insulation and not causing long term deterioration of the insulation once in place? I was thinking maybe liquid detergent like Dawn soap?

found that by searching "wire pulling lubricant" at Home Depot. Substitute your favorite big box store, or do a general search, and you'll probably find a million places, including Amazon, that will do much the same thing for you.

And you shouldn't use fight fitting conduit. Bit more expensive, but much easier when you have to go back in and rework it later.

Got the wire today and it moves thru 1.25” conduit so if I pass 10’ at a time over the wire I don’t think I’ll need the lubricant.

There is a maximum number of conductors allowed in a conduit, based on gage and amperage. If your worried about pulling the bundle through, you probably have too many.

The deal is if you fill it, all that electrical insulation also holds in heat from the resistance in the wire.
If you pull enough amps on a hot day, the insulation gets too hot and over time bad things happen.

It's your property, and I won't tell you how to run your life, but if you overstuff the conduit and burn it to the ground, don't come whining about all the guns you lost
