Hey, DOMM, have you ever tried a hot alcoholic beverage and a hot bath? It can really loosen up the chest cold. Whiskey, honey, lemon juice and water. Heat up everything but the whiskey. Add it after you get the liquid hot enough. Sip it and sniff the aroma, too. IT really works!

Also, Vicks Vapor Rub on the chest with a hot towel over it is great.
