I've packed a couple of boxes for shipment. Shippers know that the trip for a package is a gauntlet of drop kicks, careless package handlers and drivers that couldn't give two ***** about the shipment arriving intact.

Oh man FedEx..... We had a package sent with adult signature required. I found the package on the hand rail at the far end of my wheelchair ramp. I took a look on the security cameras and made a copy to send to the shipper. The truck pulled into my driveway, the driver got out and set the package on the hand rail, then got in and drove off. He never even tried the door. I never was told who signed for the package. I may still have a copy of that video.

A couple of years ago the wifes phone broke. The phone people sent her a new one, shipped with FedEx. When the phone did not show up she called to see where it was and was told it had been delivered. Umm okay, not sure where. We got to looking around and found it on the back porch steps. It had been rained on for most of 24 hours. It must have been to much to ask for them to bring it either door and try knocking.

These days I hate the idea of having anything shipped. If I get a choice I will not use FedEx at all.

Order was resent 10/27 for delivery today ... didn't come. I checked my tracking and they said they did not attempt but will tomorrow.

Through all of this, kudos to Buds for their follow ups and effort to make it right.

I have given Fed Ex a chance to make this right. Will see how they handle this.

Have to give Buds high marks for all of their follow ups to make this right.

Order came .... hole in the corner of the box. Could see a broken box that was missing some rounds. Driver gives the box to me, I said that I am supposed to sign for it, he says "no". He starts to run back to his truck when I call him back.

I tell him that I am not accepting the package that it has a hole in it. Dipstick says "it's fine". Unreal. I ask how in the hell is this fine that there is a _____ hole in box with broken boxes clearly ______ visible? He apologizes and takes the package.

Get an email from FedEx that the package was delivered.

Called Buds and left a message. Will see if they reship using UPS.

Unreal.

That's unreal. I suspect the local dock manager is at fault for the shoddy performance. Just speculating, but I suspect he gets bonuses for undamaged deliveries, or something.

Don't know about today, but I drove for rocket freight lines back in the day. Dock manager was my FIL. He got bonuses for different accomplishments like not damaging freight that resulted in lower insurance costs for the company, etc.
David Hall, our jailed Governer owned the freight line. Had to find a new job when he went to the slammer. Lol
