I've packed a couple of boxes for shipment. Shippers know that the trip for a package is a gauntlet of drop kicks, careless package handlers and drivers that couldn't give two ***** about the shipment arriving intact.
That's unreal. I suspect the local dock manager is at fault for the shoddy performance. Just speculating, but I suspect he gets bonuses for undamaged deliveries, or something.Order came .... hole in the corner of the box. Could see a broken box that was missing some rounds. Driver gives the box to me, I said that I am supposed to sign for it, he says "no". He starts to run back to his truck when I call him back.
I tell him that I am not accepting the package that it has a hole in it. Dipstick says "it's fine". Unreal. I ask how in the hell is this fine that there is a _____ hole in box with broken boxes clearly ______ visible? He apologizes and takes the package.
Get an email from FedEx that the package was delivered.
Called Buds and left a message. Will see if they reship using UPS.
Unreal.

Don't know about today, but I drove for rocket freight lines back in the day. Dock manager was my FIL. He got bonuses for different accomplishments like not damaging freight that resulted in lower insurance costs for the company, etc.lol... the local dock manager's job is to clean the dock... (passes his sh* to the next operation)
