Yeah, gimmick is the word of the day with this stuff. Pretty much everyone suspected as much, but it's nice to see someone put it to the test besides the manufacturer.

Round two of the review is up now. . . shooting through multiple layers of denim and 3/4 plywood.

Sorry if this is a dump question, why denim? Most people don't wear denim jackets anymore. Wouldn't leather, a regular jacket or just a t shirt not be a better test? I have seen test that say ammo failed because it did not expand because it was packed with denim. Just seems like an outdated type of test.

Its just a standardization that has repeatability allowing comparison across the range of projectiles.

Great video! Seems to confirm some of the early theories on this rounds hype.

Watching the second video it appears that after the trocars break off the remaining mass performs like standard ball ammunition.
