Excellent point. For me, though, refusing to answer (and my phone annotates most such calls as "Scam Likely") has not reduced the volume of robocalls I receive. You seem to have better luck along that line.

When they ask for me by name I say "hold on and I'll get him" then I'll put the phone down for about 5 min.
Pick it back up and say "are you there"
"yes"
"okay, hang on, he was busy but he's coming"
I repeat this for as long as it takes for them to hang up, wasting their time lol.

I had one of those people call you offer to buy your house, except he had the wrong address. So I haggle with him a bit and then I'm like "Let's do it." He ended up having his American boss call me back, who I then informed that I don't actually own the house that they spoke to me about.
I enjoyed it and had a laugh.

My favorite response if l get a supposed human is an aerosol boat horn that seems to make em hang up.......if its a robo call depending on my mood I'll keep on the line as long as l can or just hang up on em.
