I stood in line with him at the monthly Ponca City Airport breakfast fly-in years ago.
He was easy to talk to. We discussed hunting and fishing trips, not politics. I kind of felt he appreciated the off-politic discussions we were having.
He was the reason Tinker is still in OKC.

And he was a pilot.
I met the man several times when I installed and serviced his alarm systems in OKC and Tulsa.
I met his number two lady, Norma, the office manager in the Tulsa office who was a staunch conservative. We exchanged a lot of emails and jokes over the years until she retired. She was an absolute hoot.
