Geller did nothing to put anyone in danger. Do you also blame rape victims for being raped?

I don't see the correlation - at least not beyond the fact that I'm able make my own choice whether or not to patronize the gun range with clear knowledge that I may or may not be exposed to someone else's unsafe acts just as I'm able to make my own choice whether or not to attend a free speech event with clear knowledge that I may or may not be exposed to those who violently oppose the premise of the event.

Either way I pay my dime and I take my chances. What I wonder most about is whether "we" (in the larger sense, not just those of us here) would be having the same discussion if, for instance, a contingent of armed white supremacists had shown up to confront the protestors in Baltimore. At its most fundamental level there would seem to be little difference.

The difference I see between white supremists showing up in Baltimore and a couple of mooslims in Texas is this......them 2 mooslims wasn't trying to convert anyone on OSA to Islam. Them boys were offended.

Whites going to Baltimore armed, is pushing their ideas on Baltimorians by force.

I fail to see how McVeigh blowing up a building is similar to someone promoting a show that mocks muslims. McVeigh straight up attacked the U.S. government, Geller hosted an art show that some find to be distasteful.

Yes, we agree, it's distasteful. Others on this board won't admit that. Once the distaste is agreed on, then the conversation can move forward.

Fear of mooslims?? Now, I'd be glad to hang out with Muhammad Ali, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Hakeem Olijawan, maybe Jordans King Abdullah. See these guys are mooslims too. No fears or worries. I doubt Gellar or any other OSA member would show them a caricature of Allah while you were hangin out with them.

I'm not afraid of snakes in general but there's a difference between a Garter snake and a rattle snake. I'm a little smarter around the rattling kind.....they don't take jokes very well.

No, no blame goes on the rape victim. She did nothing to cause the rapist to rape her. But to follow up on a comment you made earlier in the thread, if you called my wife a whore and I punched you in the mouth, who would you hold responsible for punching you in the mouth? Yourself or me?
