I planted a black diamond watermelon in an unused corner of my garden. I figured it would be a nice "bonus" if we even got 1 or 2, since my little girl loves watermelon. I have 3 on the vine right now.

I used a cheesecloth to help support them on the vine. Is that going to block too much of the sun, to the point they don't fully ripen?

I doubt it affects it.

How is everyone's garden doing this year? I had a bust with the squash and zucchini..got 2 zucchini total
, squirrels got about 150 ears of corn to my 10, but the cucumbers and tomatoes put out. I'm at 182lbs of cukes and 300lbs of tomateos so far, about 10 cantaloups, few pounds each of beans and okra and lots of peppers.
