I hope the cooler weather and 20+mph north winds keep the mosquitoes at bay for you Friday evening. I check cams this evening and lost a quart of blood at each cam!!!!! Never seen them like that before anywhere.

Well, unless something totally unforseeable happens, my daughter will be in a stand with me THIS weekend. She has coaches approval to miss gymnastics practice on Friday, but I'm under strict orders to have her back Monday by practice time. She has a meet next weekend.

The buck I have picked out for her has been at the stand I intend to hunt every morning for about a week in the daylight for almost an hour, and I'm praying the cool weather Friday night will keep him on this pattern.

Rain finally stopped, cooling off and hard north wind. High water is going to keep us from going in the morning.

Yep, I could tell from my cameras that there was a lot of rain (last night and this afternoon), but on the up side, the buck is still showing up in the daylight. We're leaving after lunch tomorrow.

Here's our target. He came in last night at last light, and I'm anxiously watching my email to see if he makes an appearance this morning.

This handsome fella showed up on our camera last night. It's our first year off public land, so this is pretty much the biggest deer either of us has ever seen.
Hopefully he shows up next weekend
