not to start a scope war or anything but I constantly out shoot guys that have 1200.00 scopes with my 45.00 scope, and bushnell elite scopes are a really nice scope I would compare them to my shepherd scope.
It's slightly off topic but I drove past a Bushnell factory outlet in Overland Park, Kansas this week. Might be a good place to call or Google for a deal on them.
Bushnell makes some very nice high end glass, they just get a bad rep for all the $30 wal-mart scopes, and some of their cheaper offerings.
Not every person can afford to drop tons of $$$ into a high end scope that may only get used a few times a year... I am glad that Bushnell offers a decent quality product without the huge price tag. Of course I am also not trying to headshot a deer at 500+ yards =p I am an occasional shooter and have no desire to spend a fortune on something that sits in the safe 2/3 of the year. But to each their own I say =)
