Guys why don't you cut him a break? If you were in the gun selling business, you would set up at any gunshow you could to promote your products regardless of who puts it on.
If I was in the gun selling business, I would not bash the people on OSA. That is one of the many reasons nobody here will support Metcalf.

After some more research i could have saved money if i just went to sooner state pawn after the $13 entry fee, and a $14 credit card fee they charged me to buy a gun. All in all i spent $27 more for my gun at that gun show. That was my first time ever going and last time. I will just stick to local business for my fire arms.

Wait a sec - who charged you a $14 credit card fee? Or did their show prices reflect a cash purchase, with 3% added on for a credit card purchase?

It was Coffey Guns right at entrance .
4% using my bank card. I almost left to go to my bank but by that time my kid was ready for a nap and wife was ready to go. It was really cool to go to a gun show for the first time ever but most prices were the same as local venders and don't forget the $13 x 2 for me and wife entry fee. Was going to buy a 22L hand gun but that was out after that $14 bank card fee they charged me.

Superdave is not only the preferred promoter for OSA'ers, he's the preferred promoter for us shop owners as well.

It's disheartening and sad that we've had members and even a moderator on this site state that they will not do business with shops including site sponsors that set up at Metcalf shows. If you refuse to support a local shop because they set up at a Metcalf show, you might really be a social misfit.

I agree with this and I do support my local shops. I have done business with Mark and could care less if he sets up at Metcalf, or not. I don't support Metcalf, because of his prices, he is a jackass, and he bashes us on OSA. If I do not support Metcalf, I do not need to be told how I am anti-gun by local shops. I will not support jackasses and people who bash me on OSA. I have alot of good people on OSA that I am happy to support.

Guys why don't you cut him a break? If you were in the gun selling business, you would set up at any gunshow you could to promote your products regardless of who puts it on. Simple fact is that OKC gunshows bring in a lot of people and publicity to a business. Besides how is he to voice his opinion for or against a certain gunshow promoter? If that promoter looks in on the threads and sees someone that signed up for a table at his show is badmouthing him, well that's just bad business for the badmouther. It's his right to setup wherever he pleases and your right to attend a gun show or not.

He's not being berated for setting up at a metcalf show, it's the 2nd amendment rhetoric that people are calling BS on.

Besides, H&H has done way more for the OKC area than gunshows, like the number of good ranges and shops in the Tulsa area. In fact I'd say that local businesses promote the industry with integrity. You don't see any "buy it before obama gets em" sales at Sportworld.

As to someone charging you 4% to use a credit card, this is probably because all credit card processors charge vendors a percentage to process said card. If, because of the mechanism of competition, a seller is pricing his guns at, say, 10% over cost, the fee charged by his credit card processor eats up about 20% of that 10% profit margin. Credit card companies and the associated credit card processing companies (same thing, spelled differently) are making a fortune out of such fees, while struggling small business owners find they must pass such fees along to their customers (which doesn't usually make the customer very happy) just to survive. It is not likely the vendor was trying to gouge anyone; it is simply that he is passing along to the customer the onerous fees charged by the credit card combine.

Why should we pay a fee that is free at brick and mortar stores? especially when their prices are lower?
