Interesting. On America’s Got Talent there were two brothers that were both autistic and one flew F18s. Would all depend where on the spectrum a person was.
I’ve been on this forum long enough to know we have members covering all of the spectrum.

One of my grandchildren is autistic and has absolutely no interest in driving. I’ve asked several times. Prefers riding in the backseat too.
I'm not autistic, people just assume I am.
I don't have the hyperactivity component, but have had ADD all along. Might be something of a rodent, too. There are ways to manage ADD, and people in certain areas of the Autism spectrum don't even need anything like that. My favorite "drug" for managing my ADD is caffeine. And some of you so-called "neuro-typical" folks use more than I do. How many of you have a permanent crook in your index finger from holding your coffee cup?

Well, later in life the H kind of goes away. Sadly I could really use that some days now.
But the ADD is actually quite the blessing when I need to multitask.
