I can't confirm any China access to transformers although I can't rule it out.
Most are pretty dumb intelligence wise. The control systems typically reside beyond bluetooth or wifi range and are hardened against intrusion.
Our Control Systems when I worked at OG&E Sooner Power plant has zero access to the internet. No need for firewalls or anything else although they were installed as a precaution for other reasons I won't talk about.

It turns out that the same day Biden shut down the Keystone Pipeline, he also lifted the security on our power grid for 90 days (Trump’s EO the year prior secured our power grid by giving China no access.)

Here below is the snippet buried in Biden’s Keystone pipeline EO.

“c) Executive Order 13920 of May 1, 2020 (Securing the United States Bulk-Power System), is hereby suspended for 90 days. The Secretary of Energy and the Director of OMB shall jointly consider whether to recommend that a replacement order be issued.”

Just a small little paragraph tucked away in one of Biden’s EO’s the first day he was in office under the umbrella of “restoring science to tackle the climate crisis”.

So I researched our energy transformers that supply our power grid. Turns out, we have had zero transformers in this country that were manufactured in China prior to 2009. From 2009 -2019, China has manufactured 200 of our transformers, supplying 60% of our power grid.

Trump’s EO states this snippet, interestingly enough.

May 1, 2020 order, President Trump stated that

“the United States should no longer purchase transformers and other electric grid equipment manufactured in China. He signaled that it is important to end relationships that U.S. utilities have directly with Chinese businesses and multi-national companies manufacturing transformers in China, which are later plugged into the electric grid in the United States.

Chinese power equipment can be embedded with software and hardware that can be remotely accessed, enhancing China’s ability to commit cyberattacks. Because power transformers are huge and weigh between 100 and 400 tons, it is not easy to identify embedded software or hardware. There is also a potential hardware risk since counterfeit items can be easily put into large power transformers.”

We installed the newest/latest control systems in the world developed by ABB, Serial number #1 and #2 of software.
Completed development bringing the 1200 megawatt units back online after the upgrade after hundreds of hours of overtime annually and months of trips to ABB control systems in Cleveland Ohio to test and prove the technology.
I also know the limitations of bluetooth and WiFi.
I will concede that governments have technology far beyond what the average citizen has by working in that government field earlier which is why I stated I can't deny it may have happened.

60 generators sent by FEMA to Texas are still sitting in staging area. Biden’s response to these people is beyond pathetic. if true then some 60% of America's grid are powered by CCP transformers. which reside within hardened installations out of range of virtually all electronic combinations. don't forget electric utilities are now able to communicate with smart meters via the electrical lines.

speculation of course, if CCP agents are able to get access to those hardened installations. within electronic communication range. then it's entirely possible for CCP agents to upgrade firmware buried within equipment. say giving instructions for no telling what??

look at the damage Biden administration has already inflected on America and it's not been one month. look no further than how Biden's handlers have handled the Texas crisis. inflecting $billions of damage to Texas economies, killing scores of folks unprepared for extreme cold weather.

this cold spell barely causes a hiccup for folks in Oklahoma. where we are equipped with gensets, wood stoves, stocked cupboards, etc. etc.

you only get to do this to Texans once. they will quickly get back on their feet and be prepared for next cold spell.

look up maunder minimum .. possibly world's oldest manmade database. sunspot activity and earth surface temps, about 300 years worth of tracking sunspots and earth's surface temps.

How are you going to get the blades to Tennessee?
Look at a map of the USA and look at a map of Germany
1) You use more energy in trying to recycle them in Tennessee, than putting in a land fill
2) Cost to get them there. (Trucking)
3) Fees to Tennessee to recycle them

The carbon footprint of a single operating wind turbine far exceeds the power output capability of the lifetime of the turbine. That isn't debatable. Hell the electricity used in welding the steel tube together alone is incredible. Plus the milling of the steel in the first place. Then you have the VOC emissions produced by the 100's of 1000's of pounds with the styrene and other VOC's in the resin used to make the blades. Then you have the trucking to get them to the construction site, then you have installation and maintenance. Last but not least is decommission and disposal. And it goes on and on and on. The carbon footprint for one of those things is astronomical, and far exceeds their ability to produce power.

I get it, we need to be exploring alternate, cleaner energy. Wind is not the answer, it is a net loss, we know it's a net loss, and yet we are erecting these things by the 10's of 1000's. That is insanity. Consider all of that, then consider the nonreliable production of power produced by wind and you have a folly the size of Jupiter.

It is nonsensical, and it needs to stop. Wind is destroying the planet and the environment, and nothing to do with producing wind power makes sense for either the environment or the power industry.
