got work from my rep today that he's on the move to get it overrode. havent heard from the senator yet
I sent an email to Sen. Justice and Rep. Osborn urging them to support this. They both voted Yea so...
I'm glad neither of mine voted nay. I don't have the time I would spend getting them replaced next election.
My rep is Tibbs who voted for it haven't heard back from her, sent her an email this morning. My senator is Crain who voted against it, doubt I will here back from him.
This was the intent at which I first brought this up.... god given as meant as there are some things that our forefathers recognized as inherit rights given to man at birth... that no government has the right to take away or that no government has the right to give....are natural or god given.... are all of the freedoms afforded to us by the bill of rights these rights are understood that everyone being created equal have the right to free speech, freedom of religion of their choice, defend themselves, to be secure in the person and dwellings..... etc....
There is no actual scripture that I know of except of where Christ talks of to buy a man a sword, which would have been the greatest equalizer of his day.... the greatest equalizer that was available to our founding fathers was the firearm.... but if you ever truly read the second amendment is speaks of the right to keep and bear arms, not just firearms.... arms is literally defined as any weapon.... so the second amendment read literally means the ability of anyone to carry any weapon in which to use in their defense....
vatican said:... the right of legitimate defence by means of arms exists. This right can become a serious duty for those who are responsible for the lives of others, for the common good of the family or of the civil community. This right alone can justify the possession or transfer of arms"
CCC said:Legitimate defense can be not only a right but a grave duty for one who is responsible for the lives of others. The defense of the common good requires that an unjust aggressor be rendered unable to cause harm. For this reason, those who legitimately hold authority also have the right to use arms to repel aggressors against the civil community entrusted to their responsibility.
Luke 22 said:He said to them, "But now one who has a money bag should take it, and likewise a sack, and one who does not have a sword should sell his cloak and buy one.
Exodus 22 said:"(If a thief is caught in the act of housebreaking and beaten to death, there is no bloodguilt involved. But if after sunrise he is thus beaten, there is bloodguilt.) He must make full restitution. If he has nothing, he shall be sold to pay for his theft.
