You'll have fun with any of them!!

My favorites (that I've tried and/or owned)
1) Ruger Mark III Hunter (most accurate gun I've every shot)
2) Browning Buckmark
3) Walther P22 (fun little shooter)
4) Any SAA revolver

#4 Even though its a singleaction revolver, they can be very accurate, even smoking some of the semiautos out there. You may even be able to find one for less money that some of the autos listed.

I've got most of them.
I like all of them.
Trying going and handling some.
See what feels good.
Take a little time looking them over.
How do the sights line up for you.

Probably the best shooting one that I have is the s&w 22a.
But I can't stand those dang factory sights on it.
I couldn't hit jack with them.
I had to put a scope on it to have any consistent patterning.
Shoots a nice tight group thru the scope now.

My favorite for just plinking is the little buckmark.
Bought it years ago and have put literally thousands and thousands of rounds thru it without any major problems. When it get real dirty a quick shot of CLP and it's back to the races.

I've got several revolvers. All work out fine. I picked up a couple High Standards off the board this year. Both SA and both real accurate. The SA does cause you to slow down a bit and make your shots count.

Picked up a s&w from a board member that shoots really nice. I think it's a 619. An enormous amount of fun to shoot fast. Pretty darn accurate also.
And like most revolver real easy to clean.

Got a couple others, but like most they will all make it just fine for plinking.

I would vote for the Ruger Single Six too, slow loading and slow shooting, but dangit, it puts the bullets where they need to go(with a little help from me anyways). But I can't help any more than that b/c I don't recall shooting any other .22 pistols except the Mosquito and I just didn't feel right shooting a Sig Sauer .22...

Who made the Ruger Mark II knock off in the early 80's? I had one of those with a bull barrel and really had fun shooting it. Only problem was that it took me a 6 pack of MooseHead to figure out how to put it back together after taking it apart to clean.

Update: I researched and found out that is was an AMT
