Help with little bitting flys.

Going out to work on some food plots and there are swarms of these things. There bit causes a big welt that's also very itchy. Any idea what they are and how to kill them.

Buffalo gnats? Pure vanilla some say. Anything with menthol has worked best for me. They best thing is just don't be unless the wind is blowing lol...........which I guess it doesn't blow much in Tulsa.

We were plagued with some tiny little bugs that bit like crazy when around oak trees. Even at the lake when pulling into a cove with oaks around it, they would bite.
So tiny you could barely tell what they were. Just a speck.

Found it! Oak tree mites. Leaves a bite like a chigger but they drop off after the bite.
