Get off my lawn.
Made my first catch in my parents pond this morning. Caught it on an olive woolybugger.

Dustin what kind and where did you get your set up? I am looking for a beginning set up.

I got a combo at Bass Pro. I asked a couple guys I know that fly fish and they both recommended Temple Fork Outfitters Pro Series for the rod and I found a good deal on an outfit that was based on that rod. I also wanted a 4 piece rod so I could take it on my motorcycle a little easier. I wanted a 9' and 5 or 6 weight. That is a good size/weight rod for almost any kind of fish.

You might have missed a heck of a sale at bass bro on combo outfits. I know it started on the 21st but not sure when it is over. Temple fork rod with a TFO reel, great price together. Way cheaper than buying seperate.

Yes I saw the add there were two starter kits.
