"CALVIN, Oklahoma -
An investigation into an alleged Craigslist scheme involving stolen ATVs led to a big bust at the Triple S Wildlife Ranch in Calvin, Oklahoma. Authorities found stolen ATVs, tractors, drugs and illegal taxidermy.

Investigators were told the Triple S Wildlife Ranch was attempting to sell stolen ATVs. After searching the 3,000 acre property on Wednesday, authorities found several stolen ATVs, two stolen tractors, illegal taxidermy and narcotics used to sedate animals to make them look dead.

Several of the mounted animals are illegal in Oklahoma and a few are extinct.

The name of the owner of the ranch has not been released. Authorities say the owner will be facing a number of state and federal charges."

Sounds more like his hired help was using the ranch as a storage facility for their thefts. The guy put in his work to purchase and build the ranch, why would he bother stealing ATVs and tractors? Then again, you never know...

That's what I'd think as well.

Sadly, if it is his hired help, it still reflects back on the ranch and it's owner. As to the "illegal taxidermy," who's to say it wasn't in the family since well before those regs were in? I don't know the guy, so I'm not sticking up for him, just wondering aloud.

He got a mounted bald eagle or something...
Extinct species....
Full body Velociraptor!!!!

This. And why would you ban certain animals that are already dead? Who cares if I have a stuffed wooly mammoth in my living room?

Passenger pigeon????? I'd think it would have to be something recent at least...................Giant Beaver???
I've seen Brad Pitt on tv telling me that the Polar Bear is on the brink of extinction and to send money......yet I can find several guides in the Yukon and Nunavut to help me harvest one legally, just can't bring it into the US, lol.

Come in guys. Even if the man is an absentee owner, which I doubt. it's damn hard to not notice new tractors and atv showing up on your place.

I dunno ... We know a guy who was arrested because stolen property was found on his land ... a LOT of stolen property. Apparently his deadbeat, worthless, crackhead daughter and her deadbeat, worthless, crackhead husband were stealing all kinds of stuff and hiding it in an unused barn on his property. He very nearly lost everything he had fighting the charges ... In the end he was cleared but still, he swears to this day that he knew absolutely nothing about the stuff in that barn until the sheriff showed up at his door ...
