I was thinking about getting a High Point Carbine. They make one in a S&W 40 cal. That is what my handgun is. Plus I load my own ammunition. Has anyone fired a High Point Carbine? If so, what did you think?
yeah i have both the 9mm and 40 they are fun little guns to use on the range and has no problems with either of them, bought both used had to email the factory and get some small parts when i got them and they shipped them free of charge to me.
Thanks Shootin 4 fun. I will definitely order mine soon. I will probably get one with the Red Dot Scope. Now I just have to figure a way to catch the brass. I love reloading almost as much as shooting.
I have a cheap red dot on my 9MM. I don't shoot it much because its so much fun to shoot I can't afford the ammo.
Never had one single problem. Get it you will like it.
Thanks. I will. I will also get a brass catcher for it. I love reloading almost as much as shooting. I may have to play a bit on crimp and overall length to make sure the reloads don't jam. Once I get it perfected, I will let you know. 9mm carbide dies are pretty common. If you get all the items needed to reload your brass, we can probably cut your cost of shooting down a bit.
I had one in 9mm and it was fun. HiPoint has sure made them look better than the older carbines. The only issue I had with them was the lack of magazine capacity.
