Obviously his statement has inflamed people... but I'll have to wait until Faux news tells how to feel, and how to debate the subject matter before I can move further into the discussion.

Why all the inflammation? Just say, "so what, I'm a racist and your policies and the execution thereof still suck. Defend your actions."

Beacuse admitting you're a racist when in fact you are not a racist, would be exceedingly stupid. Everyone would focus on the fact that you're a racist, the race-baiters would double down and say that was proof that they were right and you were wrong, and the pertinent questions would remain unanswered. Worse yet, they'd be effectively buried by intentional misdirection.

Maybe we should stick to the original definition of racist instead of allowing it to be manipulated and misconstrued like some sort of newspeak.
If I meet two people of a different race than my own and like one of them but dislike the other am I half racist?
If I meet someone of my own race and don't like them am I a self-hating racist?
It's a misdirection/manipulation and many are falling for it.
