Now I'm not a cop so I could be wrong, I believe in the event your unconscious and patted down. Anything they find like a firearm and knife, and whatnot would be bagged boxed appropriately and logged as such so you could get it back at the end of your visit... But would that happen for real? Prove it

SO or OHP takes care of weapons on a medical/mva here. Owner gets it back just like their wallet, purse, ect. They're usually not on scene for a while, so they get removed from the victim and locked in the fire truck until the SO or OHP can take care of it. It's only happened once in as many years that I can recall. Every dept/district probably has their own protocols.

Well since a concealed carry permit doesn't exist here anymore I guess that means nothing. Who gives a crap what they post. As long as it ain't one of the truly off limits places then conceal and don't worry about it. I don't know many hospitals that are federal owned. Besides the VA. And if you carry a gun you dang sure better know you can't carry there. Most hospitals are all private owned around here. Those signs make me laugh. They don't mean crap.

All that said, "concealed means concealed" doesn't work in those stupid gowns. Or if the doc/nurse asks you to lift up your shirt or drop your pants...or you need any sort of radiological procedure (especially an MRI), all of which are real (and legitimate) possibilities.
I had to go to an ortho clinic once to get an MRI on my elbow. Gun Buster sign on the door.
The attendant told me to get into a gown, and put my personal belongings on the shelf. I just stood there for a minute, trying to think about what to do with the Kahr on my appendix in a CC holster. He must have seen my discomfort, because he started laughing and said if its a pistol I'm worried about, just put it on the shelf. He said the sign was just for liability, and some of the employees carried on the job.
That got me to wondering how many business actually do that for liability purposes, driven by their insurance company's.

Many. That is the reason our company has a procedure against firearms. I've always thought that a law requiring any location that is posted no firearms is responsible and liable for the safety of all occupants would eliminate this BS postings.

Hmmm, that's a different spin. I just don't see the necessity of the insurance company needing that sort of liability waiver.
If they do MRI, it could easily be to guard against accidents (real accidents, not negligence). Those magnets are powerful; I've heard of one pulling a 1911 and causing an impact discharge without the thumb safety coming off.
