What happens if you are in a wreck unconscious and have a legally concealed handgun on your person. EMT's or officers at the scene pat you down or does the ER staff find it and have a cow. I would think there would be a policy for that. I'll have to ask security at Baptist just for fun. I know the security staff at Baptist carry pepper spray, tasers and side arms.

My wife and I were in a wreck, not unconscious, and when the Sheriff's Deputy noticed we had our permits, asked if we wanted him to hold the guns while the EMT's checked us out.

If you are unconscious after a wreck, my last worry would be about my gun.

Dang it, I use to take these as " no revolvers and fixed blade knives" . Looks like they got me. There is a gas station I frequent that had a beretta 92 banner sign so I just didn't carry that. They are getting smarter.
Good thing mine aren't weapons ... they're medical devices used for therapy to relieve stress.
