Just for grins checked Gallup Daily.. He still has a 51% approval rating. We are in deep dodo, 51% of the people in this country still think he's a good guy. We are doomed the majority of the population would rather have government handouts than freedom. Glad I only have 10 to 15 years left on this earth and lived through the good years.

the biggest difference we would've seen would be the bipartisan support in spending increases and government expansion. at least under obama most of the republicans are at least pretending to be constitutional conservatives

we'd probably already have universal background checks, at the least, under romney, because when an 'r' calls for "reasonable" restrictions, other 'r's follow suit.

And that hits the nail directly on the head. A majority of the people think the obamanation is a good guy. Being a good guy does not necessarily equate to being a good president in fact it may very well be a negative in that regard.

I don't want a boss, a platoon leader, a ship's commander or anyone else to be a good guy. I want a competent leader, a good decision maker who can call the tough ones and act accordingly. I want a person for whom honor and integrity are not just high falutin' words to make the masses feel good but concepts deeply ingrained in their characters.

I want a president who is a leader 1st and a politician last.

If that person is also a good guy then that's just icing on the cake but it isn't a necessity.

Do you notice how he never takes charge of anything? Benghazi hearings is just one example among many. When approached and told that the incident was on going, he told the defence secretary to do what he had to do, and walked away.

Easier to dodge blame that way, which he is very good at. Plausible deniability.
What amazes me is how he can say something, on video, then later deny having said it.
With a straight face.
