My wife told me that she would buy me an AR for Christmas. There are so many of them out there that I don't have a clue which one to settle on. I don't want to spend over about $900 bucks for it. I know that I will not get the top of the line and that is fine but I also want to get one that is going to be very reliable and be built good. I don't want one that is cheap made and might not last that long. Is there any that you guys could recommend that I get? I would really appreciate the help. So I don't have one yet but hopefully soon I will.

BCM upper, BCM BCG and charging handle, magpul MOE handguards, DD 1.5 sights and BCM cosmetic blem lower. Should be about 9-$920 for a top of the line AR. Barring that, you could build one.

A fully chromed AR would be ghetto fab and something I've never seen before.

Thanks for the info. But I don't know if I would be able to assemble it myself. I have not messed with these type of rifles in a long while. How hard is it to put it together yourself. With limited knowledge? These parts that you listed on here. Where do I get them at? Thanks again.

Given the history of what happens concerning gun control when the Democrats have control of the Senate, House & White House and the size / abilities of the government's new super computers to troll the Internet looking for gun owner posts on gun forums & FB pages.... I would apply Bill Clinton's advice about Gays in the military to this question.... "Don't ask & Don't tell!" We gun owners as a whole already volunteer way to much information & pictures about our weapons & ammo in public forums as it is. Myself included.

i assembled mine in about 45 minutes after watching a couple videos and reading a couple walkthroughs, including about a 5 minute break 'cause the power went out. no prior training/experience.

easy stuff.
